There are all manners of fashion attires and modes existing in the higher institutions in particular.  The fashion suits wears also thrives.

In most African universities, students are allowed to be on various fashion attires as they wish. Some of these students especially the gentlemen normally like to be on suits. You see them well dressed and ready for studies. Other students however dress in low key modes. This is mainly because of some financial constraints. Among the school authorities; the lecturers, professors, office workers and other important staff members in a typical African higher institution, the fashion suit is the order of the day. These calibers of men and women appear on their well cut out suit on daily basis. Some university officials especial the private ones make the suit the dressing code for all the staff members and the professors, including the upcoming lecturers. However, there are few days in a week when they are permitted to put on the traditional wears. Mostly the weekend are used as the days for casual and traditional wears.
